Published 1:37 pm Thursday, December 11, 2008

Living window displays will be the featured attraction next week when a handful of downtown Enumclaw businesses kick off the "Twilight Tuesdays" campaign.

In response to a community desire to see businesses open later, selected merchants will extend their hours each Tuesday night. Stores participating include Radio Shack, Almost Necessities, Scrapbook Corner, Clay Expressions, The Village Shoppe, Cole Street Bikes, Cole Street Coffee, Glenbrook Cottage, The Salt Shaker Bookstore, Judy J's Frameshop, Elk Hills Gallery, Over the Edge, Country Kids, 4 Suns Sports, Lindon Bookstore, Mirabella, Cole Street Antiques, Young's Floral, Dicks Barber Shop and Abba Salon.

"Twilight Tuesday" will start off with a splash from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Downtown storefronts will feature live window displays including a Mad Hatter tea party from "Alice in Wonderland," artists demonstrating their latest work, Marianne Binetti signing books, live mannequins, musicians, the Easter Bunny and more. Plateau Community Players and Stage Door Productions will be providing their expertise.
