Ready, set, launch

The construction project at Lake Tapps Park is on schedule. The boat ramp will be open May 28 in time for Memorial Day weekend. The $500,000 project improved the boat ramp and installed round-abouts on the access road. A second phase, planned for later this summer, will involve building a marina and docks near the boat launch. Lake Tapps Park is one of only two public access parks on the lake. The other is Allan Yorke Park.
