RECKLESS DRIVING, ELUDING: Officers observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Oct. 4. The car eluded officers but backup soon located it again and continued pursuing after observing pedestrians having to leave the road to get out of the car’s way, which was still speeding. Sumner PD and the Washington State Patrol joined in pursuing the vehicle, which eventually stopped and the driver fled on foot. When he was caught, the driver told officers he fled because he had a warrant. The driver was cited and booked into the King County jail.
FOUND DEBIT CARD: On Oct. 5 a debit card was turned in to officers. A records check found contact information for the owner, but officers were unable to contact him. The card was booked into the property room as found property.
