Panthers get first win of the season on the road

The Bonney Lake boys tennis team recorded their first win of the season with a 3-2 non-league win over Timberline Friday.

The Panthers loses came in singles and doubles play.

Sam Davidson won easily, 6-1, 6-4, while teammate Taylor Pringle fell in three sets, 7-6, (7-5) and 6-2.

In doubles action, Zach Volin and Steve Scott won by identical 6-2 scores, while Devin Crump and Andrew Allen posted a 6-3, 6-0 win.

But the team of Ben Davidson and Adrian Gonzalez lost in a marathon match, 7-5, 7-4, 4-6, 7-6, 10-8.

The Panthers play at Yelm Thursday in nonleague action, then at Enumclaw Friday in South Puget Sound League 3A play.
