Bonney Lake senior Courtney Bartlett shot a 16-over 52 as the Panthers won their season openers against Clover Park, 153-23, at the Tacoma Golf and County Club in Lakewood Thursday.
It was the first South Puget Sound League 3A win of the season for team.
Senior teammate Tracy Hare finished was close with a 52 and Ali Ronnfeldt shot a 55.
Coach Sharon Lovinger was pleased with the performance of two of her underclassmen players. Freshman Anna Babbitt finished with a 53 and sophomore Megan Charron shot a 58.
“The course is not an easy course to play,” said Lovinger.
In a practice match Sept. 8 against Auburn Mountainview at home, the girls scored a 50-44 win over the Lions.
Hare shot a 46, Bartlett had a 55, and Ronnfeldt finished with a 49.
The Bonney Lake boys scored a 32-15 win over Clover Park in league play.
Josh Journey and Clover Park’s Kaleb Davis tied for top medalist honors with a 13 over.
