Bonney Lake Receives State/Federal Award for Fennel Creek Trail Project | Bonney Lake

The City of Bonney Lake was presented the 2015 Awards of Excellence – Best City Project Award, sponsored by the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Federal Highways Administration, at the November 24, 2015 City Council Meeting.
The City was recognized for excellence in construction, innovative design, environmental compatibility, and public involvement and satisfaction for the Fennel Creek Trail – Safe Routes to School Project which provides a pathway for students and the community over Fennel Creek and up the bluff to Victor Falls Elementary School.
Mayor Neil Johnson accepted the award from Kathleen Davis, Director of WSDOT Local Programs, and Daniel Mathis, Division Administrator for the FHWA.
