Enumclaw High graduates Joey Pierotti and Jake Jokela are suiting up for North Idaho College’s wrestling squad.

Pierotti, a high school state runner-up and champion, redshirted for the Cardinals in 2008-09 and placed third at the Clackamas Open Tournament. Prior to attending NIC, he wrestled for the University of Wyoming, where he posted a 9-6 record at 165 pounds.

This fall he’s been a regular starter for the Cardinals at 157 pounds. Highlights this season include an 8-6 win over Montana State University-Northern’s Tay Todd Oct. 30. The team win was the Cardinals’ 600th.

Jokela, a freshman at 149, was third in last year’s state high school tournament, despite two major injuries. He finished the year with a 39-6 record.
