The Enumclaw High swim and dive team remained undefeated by slipping past Auburn Mountainview the afternoon of Jan. 10.

The 94-88 victory at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center pushed the Hornets’ record to 5-0 in North Puget Sound League 4A action and 6-0 overall.

First place was on the line Tuesday when EHS hosted the also-undefeated squad from Thomas Jefferson High. The regular season wraps up Thursday with a trip to the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way and a meet against Todd Beamer.

The victory over Mountainview saw Enumclaw winning seven of the 12 events, including two relays. Victories came in the 200-yard medley relay (Tanner Harms, Luke Perlot, Ben Jazbutis and Kody Moore) and the 400 freestyle relay (Perlot, Moore, Ben Hauswirth and Jacob Hauswirth).

Ben Hauswirth and Jazbutis each won a pair of individual events. Hauswirth took top honors in diving and the 50-yard freestyle, totaling 249.10 points in the one-meter dive and clocking a winning time of 24.11 seconds in the 50 freestyle. Jazbutis captured the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.93 seconds and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.35.

Also winning an individual event was Perlot in the 200 freestyle, with a time of 2:00.79.

Taking second-place honors for EHS were Moore in the 50 freestyle, Jacob Hauswirth in both the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, and Perlot in the 500 freestyle. Earning third-place points were Ethan Blanco in the 100 butterfly and Harms in the 100 breaststroke.
