Four Enumclaw High athletes made their collegiate commitments official during a signing ceremony last week in the EHS commons.
Taking part were the following:
Sydney Poe: This three-season athlete will be suiting up for the Washington State University women’s wrestling program.
The Hornet senior, who also participates in track and cross country, capped her final year of prep wrestling by placing fifth in her weight class during the state championship meet.
In Pullman, Poe will be coached by Bobby Garcia. He has served as the EHS girls coach but recently resigned his position to take a job with the Cougars.
Jason Feddema: During the winter basketball season the Hornet senior capped his prep playing days by earning first team, all-NPSL 3A honors. A year earlier, as a junior, he was a second team selection.
Now, he’ll be shooting hoops for the Wenatchee Valley College program.
Suiting up for the Knights, Feddema will be competing in the Northwest Athletic Conference.
Presley Barnes: The Palouse community of Moscow, Idaho, is the next destination for the EHS senior. Barnes has committed to lend her talents to the Vandals at the University of Idaho.
The school competes in the Big Sky Conference at the NCAA Division I level.
Leila Scharf: Taking her cheer talents to the collegiate level, the stage cannot get much bigger. The next stop for the Enumclaw High senior is the University of Washington, which competes at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Big 10 Conference.
