The community is invited to a special meeting Feb. 18 in which public input is gathered to improve the quality of preschool, childcare and early learning from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crestwood Elementary.

The director of the Department of Early Learning, Superintendent of Sumner School District Gil Mendoza and the director of First FiveFUNdamentals of Pierce County will attend.

Feedback will help shape the new statewide early learning plan as well as the Sumner School District early learning plan to ensure children enter school ready to succeed.

Parents, childcare providers and community members are encouraged to attend.
