The Ten Trails neighborhood in Black Diamond held a Touch a Truck event last Wednesday, May 29, where families met with first responders and kids had the opportunity to climb into the driver’s seat of multiple vehicles like the Black Diamond police boat (Autumn Elkerton), a King County search and rescue helicopter, and Mountain View Fire Department trucks (Vedanshika Nallamilli).

There are so many events on the Plateau in June, it’s hard to keep track! The Log Show (pictured here is Bo Carlson trying to chop through the a small log) is always a big draw, and the Gateway Concert Band is hosting its annual “Name Those Tunes” concert for the 25th year. Finally, the Culpepper & Merriweather circus is back in town in Buckley.

Last year was the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Rainier Run 5K, which is coming again on April 13. After running the 5K, there will be a block party with a beer garden, kids activities, and more.
