Student will run in Asia

Sumner High School junior Brandee DeVine has been selected to participate in a cultural exchange trip to Hong Kong and China.
DeVine will travel as a member of the Washington Cultural Exchange track and field team at the invitation of the Hong Kong Track and Field Association and the Guangdong Institute of Sport.
The trip is scheduled for July 2 through 11.
High school teams from China, Thailand, Taiwan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapre and Hong Kong will participate.
DeVine, an honor society student, is raising money to cover the cost of the trip, $2,295.
Family and friends will hold a garage sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Enumclaw Pizza Hut at 421 Roosevelt St.
