Franklin Pierce outscored Bonney Lake in the final period for a thrilling 75-74 South Puget Sound League 3A win in Parkland on Jan. 5.

The Cardinals finished the game with a 26-18 run.

Bonney Lake, who had four players in double figures, took a 36-30 lead into intermission.

Chad Marquez’s three-point basket gave the Panthers a 10-point lead, 53-43, late in the third. The Cardinals answered with 6 straight points before Riley Baltazar drilled a 3-pointer for a 7-point margin.

Marquez led Bonney Lake with 19 points, while Ramsey Thoms and Nathan Braun hit 15 each and Baltazar added 13.
