Ashley Delaney scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Sumner Spartans to a thrilling 58-53 win over state-ranked Lakes in South Puget Sound League 3A play Jan. 5 at home.

After holding the Lancers to 18 points in the second and third period, the Spartans held off a late-rally by Lakes.

Erika Olsen and Angie Wagar-Sanchez added 11 each for Sumner.
